      LWel holds both this and the following edition which makes comparison easy. The title-pages are identical. This edition has a half-title but no roman-numbered pages. There are no advertisements in the text pages as appear in the following edition nor does this edition have a pictorial binding.

Pages iii-vi, viii, x, xii and xiv of the introductory material are advertisements. Part XV "Diet and cookery for dogs' is a thinly disguised advertisement for Spratt's products.
