This database does not currently include non-English language texts. This book may be related to Thomas Mufet's "Nosomantica Hippocratea" (Frankfurt, 1588); BLC: E 835 (16), also 539.b.17. His "Insectorum sive Minimorum Animalium Theatrum" (London 1634) written with reference to E. Wotton, C. Gesner, T. Penn, was translated in 1698 as The Theatre of Insects, starting with Politick, Ethick & Oeconomick virtues of Bees. Thomas Muffet was active in England in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries and worked with the Cavendish family on science.

      This edition brings in Muffets gastronomy as well as Bennet. The Bennet appears to have been substantially rewritten and enlarged.
