The booklet was issued by The National Sea Fisheries Protection Association, Fishmongers' Hall, London, according to page 2. On pages 3-11 there is an introduction by Sir James Crichton-Browne, and on page 12, "The value of fish as food" by D. Noe4l Paton. "On cooking fish" by Charles Herman Senn is on page 13. "On species of fish", pages 14-16, "Hints on frying fish", page 17, and "Hints on boiling fish, page 18, are not credited. "Tasty ways of cooking fish", however, on pages 19-31, is by Senn. A note on page 29 says that further recipes will be included "in future editions of "Tasty ways of cooking fish" as they are issued from time to time." On the back face of the binding readers are told that a free copy of the book can be had from their local fishmonger.
This edition probably dates about 1909 since the value of fish landed in Great Britain in 1908 is given on page 12.
