      There is a prefatory note signed "Walter W. Coats. Brechin, 1903." in which the writer says that the book has been "prepared by a committee of ladies as a contribution to the bazaar in aid of the Restoration Fund of Brechin Cathedral'.
      One leaf may be missing before the title-page which is on page 3.
