      The cover-title reads, "Prize cookery and household recipes reprinted from "The star"". Although there is no indication of the series number on the binding nor in the book, this is No. 1 in the series of cookery books issued by The Star Newspaper Co and, later, The Daily News Ltd. The text contains 500 numbered recipes, beginning with "Barley cream soup" and ending with "To keep a piano in good condition".

      The cover-title reads, "No. 1. The Star cookery book < 500 new prize cookery and household recipes". The series number, No. 1, is also printed on the lower left corner of page 1. Like the earlier edition described above, the 500 numbered recipes run from "Barley cream soup" to "To keep a piano in good condition".
      LoEN holds a copy, bound in grey paper, which appears to be the same as the DLC volume except that the series number is not printed on page 1.

      The cover-title of this enlarged edition now reads, "[?]000 prize recipes < Daily News cookery book < Star series. No. 1". There is a reference on page 4 to the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920. NN dates this edition [1921].
      LoEN holds a copy of this title which matches the description of the NN [1921] edition. LoEN acquired its copy in 1927 and dates it [1927].
