Mrs Gothard wrote Section IV in "Hughes's domestic economy", London: Joseph Hughes and Co, 1891. Another edition of "Hughes's domestic economy" came out in 1893, and a new edition revised by John C. Horobin and retitled "Domestic economy for teachers" was issued by T. Nelson and Sons in 1898. See Attar for a full description of this work. @Mrs Gothard also prepared "Bean's cookery register.       The cover-title is "Mrs Gothard's domestic economy". LB and LoEN date the book [1882]; OB dates it [1884].
      Books I, II and III were also published together under one title-page with the title "Stewart's domestic economy reading book for Standard III" by the same publishers in 1882. This edition formed part of a series on domestic economy in general and is catalogued fully in Attar.

      The cover-title is "Mrs Gothard's cookery". The preface is signed "B. W. G. Sholing, Hants, September, 1878." There are 304 numbered recipes in the section on artizan cookery, forty-one numbered recipes in the high-class cookery section, and nine numbered recipes of invalid cookery.
