HANSEN-TAYLOR, Mrs Marie   1829-1925

For the author's autobiography up to the death of her husband, Bayard Taylor, on 19 December 1878, see "On two continents: memories of half a century' by Marie Hansen Taylor. There is a British and an American edition: London: Smith, Elder and Co, 1905, and New York: Doubleday, Page and Co, 1905. Born in Gotha, Germany, she emigrated to the United States in her late twenties.
