HILL, Janet MacKenzie   1852-1933


Janet MacKenzie Hill wrote a number of cookery books which were published only in the United States (see NUCat). She often produced cookery pamphlets to promote company products and several of these American publications can be found in a box of uncatalogued pamphlets in the Wilson Collection at NNNAM. @Unusually, on the title-pages of the 1903 and [1913] British editions of "Practical cooking and serving' the author's name is spelled "McKenzie'.
