1. The author 'J.W.' obviously wished to give himself or herself a credential by adding the subsidiary pseudonym 'Philo-Chym. & Med.', which presumably stands for 'Friend of Chemists and Physicians'.
2. In addition to Oxford, p. 50, there is a reference to this copy in B.& G.Cat., No. 37, p. 34, which means there is (or was) a copy (or copies) of this work in the British Isles, but none has been located.
