THOMSON, Anthony Todd   1778-1849


The physician Anthony Todd Thomson edited 'The medical repository' and was a founder of the Chelsea Dispensary. He became professor of materia medica and therapeutics at London University in 1828, and professor of medical jurisprudence in 1832. He researched into the composition of alkaloids and iodides, and in 1810 published 'The conspectus pharmacopoeiae'.
