This booklet contains the text of two speeches made to the Haddo House Young Women's Improvement Association on prizegiving days. The Association's aims were to draw mistresses and servants together through a common bond of interest, to give girls a "good and helpful interest in life' outside work, to stop the "fashion' among servants of changing situations and "to try to raise the whole moral tone of young women in service'.
