There are a number of illustrated advertisements and some blank address pages. The index precedes the text. The frontispiece is a portrait of the author "from the original painting by Mayer Klang'.
Dr Lauzun-Brown probably did not write this collection of house- hold hints himself. From the frequent references to brand-name products, it seems more likely that the publishers used his name as an endorsement for the recommended foodstuffs, medicines and other goods mentioned in the text.
