The 24th ed. of Mrs Fisher's The prudent housewife, or compleat English cook; etc., has the spelling 'compleat' instead of 'complete' and other changes in the title-page, together with a frontispiece of the author, who described herself as 'Late Cook & House-keeper to the Duke of Newcastle, Marquis of Rockingham, &c.--upward of 50 years'.
