1. The present compiler regrets that it has not been possible to obtain details of place of publication, the printer or publisher-pagination, and size, from Vassar College, Pough- keepsie, NY, USA. If the place of publication is recorded as 'Edinburgh', it would help to establish a link, if any, between this Mrs Eliza Johnston, and the Mrs Johnston whose work is dealt with in the previous entry.
2. The 3rd edition is given in Rudolph, p. 34. The author calls herself: 'Mrs. Eliza Johnston, Upwards of Fifty Years Cook, or House-Keeper, to Three Noble Families'. The price is 1 sh. and there are 25 unnumbered leaves.
