DE SALIS, Mrs Harriet Anne

NUCat cites the author's full name as Harriet Anne de Salis nee Bainbridge. @All of the slim volumes in the writer's "A1 la mode' series have attractive bindings in the same style: white paper covered boards with a cloth spine. The paper is printed all over with a pattern featuring ships, swans and vines, usually in pale brown or sometimes pale green. The lettering and cloth spine usually match in colour, often a striking blue or occasionally a fetching violet as in the case of the LoEN copy of the first edition of "Oysters a1 la mode'. (I have described the bindings of titles outside the "A1 la mode' series in their individual entries.)
