The preface, which is signed "P. L. Wingfield, Principal. September 1933", states that this is a retitled edition of "Recipes for high-class cookery" and a companion volume to the "Edinburgh book of plain cookery recipes". The volume contains 431 numbered recipes, "more than twice the number found in its predecessor" according to the preface.% General comments: The places of publication cited in the imprint distinguish the first three editions described. I cannot be certain of the chronological order of these editions. Interestingly, the deposit copies at LB and OB, although both dated [1912], are different editions.
LMPo(WH) and LoEQ hold copies of "Recipes for high-class cookery" and NUCat records the title at ICJ; however, the libraries' cataloguing data in all cases is insufficient to identify the specific edition.
