      The author writes in the preface, "This little book was compiled primarily for the use of invalids and convalescents, but has since been considerably augmented, and is now arranged as a book for everybody.' The text is in two parts: Part I covers the usual topics in a general cookery book; Part II contains recipes using commercial products and the recipes are arranged alphabetically by company name from Barto Valle to Yeatman.
