    Printed on the title-page is the quotation ""Tout se fait en di3nant dans le sie1cle ou1 nous sommes, et c'est par les di3ners qu'on gouverne les hommes."' The half-title, which is printed in yellow, brown and three shades of green, is illustrated with people dining and still-lifes of game birds. All pages, including the title-page, have a decorative red border.
