    In the introduction, which is signed A. K., the author credits Miss Joan Towell for her assistance and many of the recipes. A. K. comments that his or her intention was to use herbs in the recipes for their flavour and therapeutic effects. There are three chapters: "Vegetable dishes', "Soups' and "Drinks and oddments'. Dishes marked with an asterisk are suitable for cooking in paper bags. LB dates the book [1911]; LoEN and OB date it [1912]. The LoEN and OB copies are bound in green paper.
