  According to LoEQ, this is the first imprint of the second edition.% General comments: Portions of "The school cookery book" were reprinted in "Middle class cookery book" of 1890 which the unnamed compilers saw as a companion to the earlier work (see "Middle class cookery book"). The influence of "The school cookery book" endured into the 1930s: the preface of "The Edinburgh book of plain cookery recipes" published in 1932 acknowledges that the following text "owes not a little to the "School cookery book"" (see "Plain cookery recipes").
