The foreword by Dudley Sampson names Mrs Cumberlege as the compiler. The book was published to raise money to pay off the debt on the village hall. This appears to be the first edition. A list on the verso of the title-page of the 1933 edition dates the first edition 1911, probably incorrectly. The text is interleaved with blank ruled leaves.
Lindfield | fare. | (Second edition). | Price 2s. 6d. nett.
Haywards Heath: printed and published by C. Clarke; 1914
18.0 x 12.5 cm Pp [i-xiv], 1-150 2s 6d Red paper covered boards
This edition is enlarged. "Further recipes to second edition' are on pages 119-147 with a separate index on pages 148-150. The sale of the first edition paid off the debt on the village hall so proceeds from this edition were directed towards the New Building Fund to complete the original scheme.% 0669

This is listed on the verso of the title-page of the fourth edition.% 0670
