    This book is mainly concerned with vegetarian cookery and Miss Orlebar weaves into the text much information about different contemporary attitudes towards vegetarianism; however, she herself believes a mixed diet is best and includes some meat dishes among the seventy-seven numbered recipes. Recipe No. 11, for example, is "Beefsteak, stewed with vegetables and lentils".
