This five-volume set is a variation of another work, "Everybody's doctor', in four volumes. The fifth volume of "Cassell's people's physician' contains additional sections entitled "The professional nurse and her work' and "The ladies' physician'. The contents of these volumes are based on an earlier work, "The family physician' of 1879, rewritten and updated.
