The authors say in the preface that the book is for the "many girls [who] now live independent lives in their own rooms in college, in tiny flats, and also in week-end cottages in the country.... [Their] original idea was to cater for those who only possess a kettle, frying pan, saucepan, and baking tin!' On page viii there is a list of quickly cooked dishes.
NN and OB date the book . EngCat cites this title published in October 1910 for 1s.
This edition was reissued a few years later in identical form. LB holds a copy which it dates . OB and LoEN each hold a copy which they date  and  respectively. Both the OB and LoEN copies have a label over the price of 1s on the binding giving the new price of 1s 3d.
