The introduction is signed "Emily de Vere Mathew. Felixstowe, January 28th, 1887.' LB, LoEN and OB date the book . It is named for Queen Victoria's jubilee year.
The LoEN copy, which lacks its binding, appears also to lack the final leaf. Although the LoEN volume ends on page 22, the contents page lists a recipe for "Sauce' on page 24. Moreover, the last page in the OB copy is numbered 24 and BMCat describes its destroyed copy as having 24 pages. The OB copy is bound in orange paper.
