    The writer of the preface to the twenty-third edition can now boast that "considerably over a million copies have been called for".% General comments: An advertisement for "Nelson's home comforts' appears in the sixth edition of "Good things made, said and done' dated 1881. This is the earliest reference to the book that I have found and it predates the unnumbered new edition of 1882 at LoEN.% 5209
