    The authors sign themselves Maria Theresa Earle and Violet Bryan on page 14. Despite the reference on the title-page to eighty recipes, there are ninety numbered vegetarian recipes, the last ten of which are for invalid cookery.
    LB and OB date this edition [1906]. There is a clue to the book's date in an advertisement for Neave's Food on the inside face of the binding which cites a medal awarded at the International Health, Beauty and Toilet Exhibition, London, 1906.
