Everyman his own brewer
Everyman his own brewer. A small treatise explaining the art and mystery of brewing porter, ale, twopenny and table-beer. etc. 3rd ed.
London: printed for Dring & Co.
1. This entry is included because Maggs Bros. Cat., No. 645, p. 101, wrongly assumed that the author's occupation (a brewer) was his surname, and thereby made the error of ascribing the work to 'BREWER (Samuel Child)'. For the correct ascription; see under later entry: CHILD, Samuel, Everyman his own brewer (under 3rd ed.).
2. The same source wrongly dates the edition c.1790 when it was probably published c. 1792.
