    Binding: black cloth with an unusual red and white design. The anonymous author states that his aim is "to show women where they fail, so that they may mend their manners'. The text consists of a number of articles which originally went out as a weekly series, with letters and quotations from letters supposedly received in reply. The author's misogynist tirade is directed against the incompetence and extravagance of servants and of women generally in the realm of household management.
