Simon, pp. 150-1, says that this work (1726 ed.) is sometimes wrongly attributed to Thomas Tryon, but it is more than possible that this is a later edition of one of his works, The Way to Health, Long Life and Happiness, published 1683, 1691, and 1697 (see Oxford, p. 43, who gives these details only); and the publisher of this work, G. Conyers, is the same person who published two previously cited books; see under earlier entries: TRYON, Thomas, The good house-wife; and idem, The way to get wealth. Furthermore, the themes of this work above are temperance and vegetarianism, which were.the favourite topics (almost obsessions) of Thomas Tryon.
