M.D.CCCCXI.` Above the title on the title-page are oval portraits of King George V and Queen Mary. Above the imprint are three quotations: ""Here's a selection fit for the King: such a selection never was seen.^` "Cibi condimentum esse famem." # Cicero. "La mejor salsa del mundo es la hambre." # Don Quixote.' The compiler's name, Lilian Darlington, comes from the dedication on page 2. There are 218 numbered recipes.
