In the preface the author acknowledges "the kindness of the ladies of Toronto and other cities, who have sent me, in answer to my circulars, over one thousand tested and tried recipes # from which I have compiled the New Cook Book'. BMCat describes this edition as a reissue of "The new cook book', Winnipeg: . This is the only book I have found which originated in Canada and was subsequently published in Britain. It has not been revised for the British reader. In several places the writer still addresses herself to Canadians. On page 28, for example, she advises that "Sapolio... can be purchased at nearly every grocery in Canada'.
LoEN dates this edition 1908 without brackets; however, there is no date on the title-page. OB dates it  and LB . EngCat lists a revised edition published in October 1907 and costing 3s 6d.
