    Printed on the title-page is the quotation "The earth hath roots; the bounteous huswife Nature on each bush lays her full mess before ye^` Shakespeare' (there is no opening quotation-mark). The quotation appears on the title-page of all the later editions which I have examined and for which a title-page transcription is given.
