An image of a gold medal appears on the title-page with the caption "Facsimile of Gold Medal obtained by E. Roberta Rees, at the Universal Cookery and Food Exhibition, Imperial Institute, London, 1899."
The preface is signed "E. Roberta Rees. November, 1907." In a bound-in insert facing the preface the author expresses her indebtedness to Mr C. Herman Senn for many of the recipes in the book. She says she was a pupil of his and recommends his "New century cookery book". The text contains 461 numbered recipes.
OB and LoEN both acquired their copies in February 1908. OB dates its volume [1907]; LoEN dates the book 1908.
The copies at LCS, LoEN and OB all have eight pages of advertisements following the index in contrast to only four pages of advertisements in the OPo(F) copy.
The OB copy does not have the bound-in insert preceding the preface.

In the title the school's address has been changed from "78A" to "98A". (This correction was not carried through to the printed address heading the preface and in the LB copy the address over the preface has been altered by hand from "78A" to "98A".) Other differences on the title-page of this edition are in the medal's caption where the author's initial is followed by a comma # "E, Roberta Rees" # and in the price where the word "net" now appears with an upper-case initial letter in contrast to the lower-case initial letter of the OPo(F) edition.
    LB dates this edition [1907].
